Cornell Conference on Nonprofits as Claimants in ISDS Disputes – On 21 April 2025, Prof Freya Baetens spoke at a conference organised by Cornell University, critically assessing the current (lack of) ability of non-profit organisations to bring ISDS claims, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of incorporating such a possibility into future investment treaties.

Albania: On 29 May 2024, Laura Rees-Evans and Miglena Angelova published an article in the Kluwer Arbitration Blog on the recent judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in Iliria S.R.L. v. Albania. The judgment has important implications for future cases concerning the recognition of international awards that may come before the ECtHR. The article is available here
