  • Oxford Law Society – Space Law Panel – On 13 May 2026, Dr Gershon Hasin participated in a panel discussion on the law governing outer space activities and emerging challenges. The panel explored the international, domestic, and contractual legal frameworks governing space-related activities, as well as the areas where those frameworks are most in need of development. Gershon discussed his perspective on space governance based on policy-oriented jurisprudence. The event was organised by the Oxford Law Society for Trinity.

  • British Institute of International & Comparative Law (BIICL) conference – On 30 April 2026, Oonagh Sands participated in a roundtable discussion on “Countering ISDS Claims: Old Tensions and New Defences”. The speakers explored essential security clauses, the ringfencing of sanctions measures, and the strategic use of counterclaims. The event was organised by the Investment Treaty Forum at BIICL in collaboration with the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and Leuphana University. For event details, click here.

  • Annual Conference of the Cambridge International Law Journal – on 23 April 2026, Oonagh Sands acted as moderator on a panel titled “International Environmental Law: Reimagining Environmental Governance in an Era of Planetary Crisis”. The conference took place over two days, from 23-24 April 2026, at Cambridge University. For further details click here.

  • Global Market Leaders 2026

    Global Market Leaders 2026 – Chambers Global 2026 has recognised Fietta LLP in both public international law and international arbitration.   • Global Arbitration Review (GAR) most important decisions shortlist

    Global Arbitration Review (GAR) most important decisions shortlist – GAR has published its shortlist for the most important decisions of the year (2025), as part of the forthcoming GAR Awards.  Included in the list is the Court’s award in the Indus Waters Western Rivers Arbitration (Pakistan v.   • Sovereign & States Disputes and Enforcement Summit

    Sovereign & States Disputes and Enforcement Summit – on 6 February 2026, Laura Rees-Evans spoke at TL4’s 4th annual Sovereign & States Disputes and Enforcement Summit, on the topic of “Exploring State-to-State Disputes”.  The conference took place over two days, 5-6 February, at Plaisterers’ Hall in London.  For further details click here.

  • Legal Directory Rankings – Fietta LLP has again been ranked in the top tier for public international law by both the Chambers UK and Legal 500 directories.  The team was praised for its “exceptional knowledge of international law”, and  “strong work and client commitment”.

    Stephen Fietta KC was again recognised as a leading practitioner, being identified as a Star Individual by Chambers and Partners and included in The Legal 500 Hall of Fame.  Laura Rees-Evans and Oonagh Sands were recognised as Legal 500 Next Generation Partners, and Laura was also ranked in Chambers and Partners. Senior Associate Miglena Angelova was recognised by The Legal 500 as a Leading Associate in Public International Law.

  • ITLOS Workshop for African Legal Advisers – On 11 September 2025, Stephen Fietta KC addressed an ITLOS Workshop for African Legal Advisers in Hamburg, Germany, on the delimitation of maritime boundaries. Read press release here

  • Investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS) and European Union law – On 20 August 2025, Stephen Fietta KC gave a lecture to the Kyiv Institute for European Integration about investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS) and European Union law.

  • 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Litigators guide

    2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Litigators guide: Stephen Fietta and Laura Rees-Evans have once again been recognised as leading global litigators by Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Global Litigators guide. They are two of only 17 practitioners listed in the “public international law” category.
