Jadranka Jakovcic is a New York-qualified attorney and Associate at Fietta LLP. Her practice focuses on investor-State dispute settlement and public international law. Trained in both civil and common law systems, Jadranka has extensive experience representing States and investors in complex, high-value investment treaty disputes across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and the Americas. Her broader disputes experience includes international commercial arbitration and arbitration-related litigation.
Jadranka also advises State and corporate clients on a range of public international law matters, including treaty interpretation, negotiation and reform, State succession, and international investment law. She serves as a National Expert on sustainable investment law reform in the Western Balkans.
Prior to joining Fietta, Jadranka practised international arbitration at major international law firms in New York and subsequently as independent counsel and a consultant with Arbitration Chambers in London. In addition to her counsel practice, she has served as tribunal secretary and tribunal assistant in investment treaty and commercial arbitrations under the ICSID, UNCITRAL and SIAC Rules. Her broader professional experience includes roles with the European Commission Legal Service in Brussels and the New York Supreme Court, Commercial Division.
