Miglena Angelova is a dually-qualified English and French lawyer, and Senior Associate at Fietta LLP. She is an English-qualified Solicitor and Solicitor-Advocate (Higher Courts Civil Proceedings), as well as a French-qualified lawyer admitted to the Paris Bar.
Miglena has worked on a wide range of international disputes, including proceedings before the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, as well as investment treaty and commercial arbitrations under the ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, SCC and LCIA Rules. Miglena has also advised on public international law issues, including territorial, sovereignty and natural resources disputes, international humanitarian law and the law of armed conflict, human rights, decolonisation and rights to self-determination, treaty interpretation and international investment law.
Miglena has also worked on pro bono matters, including on a case before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).
Miglena holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in International Economic Law from Sciences Po Paris.
Prior to joining Fietta, Miglena spent time at the ECtHR, working on the project of accession of the European Union to the European Convention on Human Rights.
