28th Session of the Rhodes Academy on Oceans Law and Policy – on 30 June and 1 July 2025, Stephen Fietta KC gave presentations on “maritime boundary delimitation” and “activities in disputed areas” to attending State and other representatives from around the world at the annual Rhodes Academy in Greece.

EFILA Launch of International Arbitration and EU law – On 11 June 2025, Prof Freya Baetens spoke on paths towards reconciliation of international arbitration and EU law on the occasion of the book launch of International Arbitration and EU law (EE2024) co-edited by Nikos Lavranos and Stefano Castagna, combining international commercial arbitration, investor-state arbitration and cross-cutting issues such as environmental protection and taxation, under the auspices of the European Federation Investment Law and Arbitration (EFILA). Cornell Conference on Nonprofits as Claimants in ISDS Disputes – On 21 April 2025, Prof Freya Baetens spoke at a conference organised by Cornell University, critically assessing the current (lack of) ability of non-profit organisations to bring ISDS claims, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of incorporating such a possibility into future investment treaties.

London Conference of International Law 2024 – On 18 October 2024, Oonagh Sands spoke on a panel assessing current issues in the law of the sea.
